Ever wanted to dive into the ocean with blue whales, go stargazing in the Bolivian salt flats, explore the wilderness of the Bayern forest, watch the bison return to the wild, or learn how society and wolves can live together?
From the 26th until the 29th of October this year, the annual Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam will take place. The festival is focusing on a special selection of 40 wildlife films and documentaries. It will take place in the heart of Rotterdam, in the Cinerama movie theater.
The main program of the festival consists of a competition program that is open to professional and non-professional nature filmmakers from the Netherlands and abroad. A selection committee selects the films that will be screened at the festival. As an encouragement for talented filmmakers to enter into the competition, awards can be won in various categories. The expert jury will present these awards to the winning filmmakers in a festive manner.
In addition to the competition program, there will be educational activities for children and other activities. The Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam is a initiative from passionate volunteers, and organised by a non-profit foundation.
Looking back at the successes from the recently organised GreenScreen festival in Germany, we encourage everybody who is around to check the Wildlife Film Festival Rotterdam out.
