NP Kalkalpen and NP Hohe Tauern join the European Wilderness Preservation System

The Nationalpark Kalkalpen with 15.600 ha of wilderness and the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern with 9.136 ha of wilderness have joined today the European Wilderness Preservation System. After carefully reviewing the existing documents, the European Wilderness Society issued the respective diplomas today. We are glad to see the Wilderness Sytem expand so quickly.
