Frankfurt Zoological Society calls for Conservation Advocacy and Casework Officer for European Wilderness Areas

Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS) is an internationally operating conservation organisation based in Germany that has been implementing conservation projects in Africa, South America, South-East Asia and Europe for many decades. The FZS Europe Programme aims at maximising the organisation’s conservation impact by safeguarding large, bio-diverse Wilderness areas, mainly in Eastern Europe. Several of these project areas are facing severe threats, e.g. legal and illegal logging or large scale infrastructure projects, which require targeted and focused action on a regional and international scale. FZS plans to complement its site-based conservation projects in Europe (e.g. in the Carpathians, the Polesia region, the Bialowieza forests of Belarus and Poland) by a coordinated conservation advocacy approach, mainly to tackle such threats, which require targeted and focused action on a regional/international scale.
