Lisa Marie Mahlknecht

Project Manager

I am the project manager for several LIFE projects in the European Wilderness Society in Tamsweg, Austria. I am really passionate about nature and animals, and I want to do my best to preserve the European wilderness. After studying language and literature in Salzburg and Finland, I decided to do something useful with communication. I already gained some experience with social media and publishing in different companies around the world.

I did my last volunteering in a sea turtle camp in Mexico, where I could learn a lot about the endangered species, simply by working in the field with a biologist. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I really enjoyed it. This is also why I wanted to continue working with animals.

Working in an international team is very interesting and exciting, and I like to get to know people from different cultures and backgrounds. I think by talking to each other and working together everyone can learn something new. The work that the European Wilderness Society is doing is very important for the environment and also for future generations. I am proud to be part of the team!
