Stop culling of the first beavers in the UK since 1200 AD – Please sign the petition…

Three European beavers (Castor Fiber) believed to be two adults and a juvenile were sighted some time ago in the River Otter in Devon and are the first small breeding population outside captivity since 1200 AD in the UK.  Please sign this petition to beg the Government (DEFRA) from rounding up and ‘culling’ or putting in a zoo the first free-living wild beavers seen in England for more than 700 years.

  • Hello,

Sorry for the mishap and we are anxiously awaiting your referendum in Scotland in September.

  • These aren’t the first wild beavers in the UK, they’re the first in England, as it says eventually but not in the headline. Wild beavers have been living in Scotland for some years, before as an official project and unofficially.See . And https://www.scottishbeavers.org.uk/
