The European Wilderness Society is one of Europe’s leading experts in livestock protection of domestic animals against large carnivores. We cooperate with sheep associations, individual sheep farmers, guard dog breeders but also all level of government and international experts in developing and implementing livestock protection measures in the central alpine regions.
Key in the European Wilderness Societies activities is the development and deployment of informational materials for farmers. This allows them to alter and improve fencing systems to improve protection from wolves, foxes and golden jackals. the We also hold regular seminars and workshops to all interest groups and stakeholder on the different methods of protecting livestock against large carnivores.
The European Wilderness Society do not participate in any active resettlement or reintroduction projects of large carnivores.
