Young people are the future of European Wilderness

Wilderness is so important to the challenges of modern days and young people are more and more aware of that! Some just because they love Wilderness and simply enjoy to experience it. Others because it is attractive subject of their work and  intend to dedicate their life to protect it. Others because they see Wilderness as an interesting subject for their study.

Angela Dichte is young an enthusiastic German student studying International Forest Ecosystem Management (BSc) at the the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde in Germany.  Her study course implicates a practical study semester abroad, which she decided to spend in the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve  in Ukraine. This park is a place with one of the most valuable piece of old-grow forest in Carpathian Mountains currently in process of applying to join the European Wilderness Network . Her work is supervised by Prof. Dr. Pierre Ibisch Professor for Nature Conservation and Founding director of the Centre for Econics and Ecosystem Management in Germany
