“Zacharovanyi Krai National Park” and “Naturlandschaften Brandenburg” join European Wilderness Network

We are proud to announce that today two new Wilderness areas have decided to join the European Wilderness Network. The  Natural Landscapes in Brandenburg, Germany with  8,700 ha of Wilderness and the Zacharovanyi Krai National Park in the Ukraine with  1,332 ha of Wilderness are joining the ever expanding European Network.

In the next few days we will publish more details and pictures of these areas. What makes this especially interesting, is that the responsible managers of Zacharovanyi Krai National Park are taking the protection of Wilderness serious regardless of the political turmoil. This is very commendable and deserves our respect.
