European volunteers get wild in Salzburg
Our colleague Nick Huisman joined the other European Volunteers from Salzburg during the monthly free time activity. The European Voluntary Service, which will change to the European Solidarity Corps soon, is part of the Erasmus+ programme. This month, the volunteers experienced a traditional Austrian way of fun: sledging! You can find many different rodel tracks in Austria, especially in the alpine areas.
The other volunteers come for example from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Armenia and Georgia. Most of them work in the city Salzburg, or close next to it. Some of them work with refugees, kids, or youth. Others teach, cook, film, or organise conferences. A wide variety of activities, for a wide variety of volunteers. European Wilderness Society is looking forward to welcome our next volunteer soon.
