A wild adventure!

Last August, European Wilderness Society welcomed 11 different artists from 5 different countries to the Synevyr National Nature Park in Ukraine. The unique nature inspired the artists from the Netherlands, Austria, Czech, Romania and Ukraine. They expressed this beauty in paintings, drawings, photos, landart and dances. This event was organised in the framework of the project Areas of Inspiration. The project is co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, involving areas in Estonia, Czech, Slovakia and Ukraine. As you can see in the video, the event was a huge success. The artists experienced Wilderness, created beautiful artwork and formed new friendships.

Through WildArt Plein Art event in Synevyr, I’ve discovered a new Wilderness area in which I had the joy to meet amazing companions. In just one week, I’ve learned a lot of new things about nature and also how to connect with people, even though it was a short time. I believe that we made some bonds and in the near future, we will meet again to do some wonderful work.

For next year the European Wilderness Society is exploring the possibilities to organise WILDArt Plein Air in one of the wildest places in Italy. In Majella National Park we find Majella Wilderness that is home to wolves, bears, golden eagles and chamois. There we find high mountain peaks, dense mountain pine forests and deep river gorges.
