Improving Legal Protection of Wilderness in Europe

While there are still existing Wilderness areas across Europe, they only cover around 1% of the land territory.  In order to secure them for future generations and restore even more Wilderness, our team joined forces with the Wildland Research Institute (WRi) to develop our advocacy strategy.

It’s central element is the European Wilderness Convention. During the WILD10 conference in Salamanca, Mark Fisher from WRi presented the arguments why this convention is a realistic goal.
