Today Iryna Shchoka participated in the round table on support of small and medium business between authorities, bank institutions, business and NGOs. Among other, banks presented their acting programmes of support of ecological, energy efficiency and regional development projects. It was also an opportunity to present and discuss with regional authorities projects on sustainable tourism and state-private partnership around UNESCO nominated protected areas, on which European Wilderness Society is currently working on.

Besides, Ukraine is very close to signing the Protocol on Sustainable Tourism of the Framework Convention on the Protection and Sustainable Development of the Carpathians, and the European Wilderness Society is confident that it will give an additional impulse to the development of the economy and particularly tourism sector along with preservation of the unique natural heritage of this country, while protecting the Wilderness and Wild Areas.
