Bringing Europe Closer To Nature is a citizens engagement activity, supported by the Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY) initiative. The EU’s Cohesion Policy undeniably plays a big role in protecting nature. Did you know that the EU has the world’s largest coordinated network of protected areas in the world? Over 100 transnational cooperation projects have been funded by the EU’s Cohesion Policy, some of which have consequently helped support this network, Natura 2000.

In Thursday’s chat (link to Zoom meeting here, no registration needed), you will learn more about the impact of EU Cohesion in the area of nature protection. Make sure to click attending on Facebook here! In addition, you can find out more about the projects supported by the EU in the area of nature conservation. Let us jointly explore Europe’s wonderful nature with our two presenters. As present and former IVY volunteers, they will also provide an insight into how you can get involved in bringing Europe closer together and what they have gained from their experiences.
