Volunteers are Very Important People. Why? Because are the heartbeat of the many protected areas around the globe! Their talents and skills are matched with work preference to obtain a role that satisfies them and best fulfills the mission of the protected area. They can work on a part-time or full-time basis. Therefore not surprise that abbreviation VIP – Volunteers-In-Parks is also translated – Very Important People!
Volunteering is an American tradition that has made an immeasurable contribution to communities, organizations, and individuals throughout the country. That tradition is spreading around the globe and already several decades is firmly imbedded also in Europe and in many European protected areas!
If you want to get involved in this life-lasting experience go and join a group of volunteers in International volunteer summer camp in Foreste Casentinesi National Park (Italy) from 13th to 26th July 2015 . This event is offering a unique experience in an extraordinary territory, full of ancient and sacred forests on the Apennines between Tuscany and Romagna.
Volunteers will actively participate in Parks’s promotion and conservation projects. They will be hosted in Park’s guesthouse, and collaborating with Park and State Forestry Corps employees in several activities: visitors assistance, cleaning the hiking paths, monitoring of fauna, maintenance of park structures, monitoring activities and so on… The project is managed by In Quiete cooperative society.
