Boys in the wild

Children today spend on average close to 50 hours every week in front of computers, in social networks on tecting with their smartphones. The child obesity rate is rapidly climbing and the experience with the outdoors is becoming less and less normal. Hiking, camping with a tent, sleeping outdoors, making a campfire is becoming a rare experience.

Ryan Jordan is trying to change this and takes young boys into the Wilderness. This sort film summarizes his positive experiences and what the boys learned from the hiking and camping in the wild. Enjoy the film…

    I wonder how the ‘teens’ or ‘teenagers’ from early on in this short video turned into ‘boys’. There was no mention I think of why girls wouldn’t enjoy or benefit from the same. Therefore it kind of seems the outdoors is a mens’ world for the maker of this video.
