Register for ALFAwetlands Final Conference!
European Wilderness Society, as a partner of the ALFAwetlands project, is pleased to invite you to the ALFAwetlands and REWET Final Joint Conference “Wetland Solutions for the Future: Learning from ALFAwetlands and REWET projects”, taking place on 17 September 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.
This joint event will bring together policy makers, researchers, practitioners, restoration experts, and other interested stakeholders to reflect on the achievements of both projects and to discuss the future of wetland restoration in Europe within the framework of EU climate and nature policies.
Join us to discover how two major Horizon Europe projects are helping shape the future of wetland restoration across Europe. At a time when Europe faces growing climate, biodiversity, and water resilience challenges, these projects are generating critical knowledge, tools, and practical solutions to support large-scale wetland restoration and inform current and future EU policies and land management approaches.
Register until 01 of August to secure your spot!
The event will feature:
- Presentations of key findings, innovations, and policy impacts from the projects
- Discussions on the role of wetlands in achieving Europe’s restoration and climate objectives
- Research highlights, practical case studies, and on-the-ground restoration experiences
- Networking opportunities with experts and stakeholders from across Europe
