European Wilderness Society

Server Upgrade completed

We upgraded our servers to handle the increase in traffic. Back in 2014 we had on average 100 Wilderness advocates per day visiting our website. Since then we have published more than 1300 postings on Wilderness and Wildlife issues and the daily traffic has increased 10-fold. On some days more than 2000 visitors are informing themselves on the latest Wilderness News. Over the years already more than 750.000 Wilderness advocates from almost every country have visited our Website.

But also worth noting is that our AntiSPam and Antiphishing filters have blocked more than 400.000 malicious attempts to access our Website.

Latest and fastest technology

The upgrade included brand new failsafe multicore servers with the fastest SSD harddrive technology, a Content Delivery Network (CDN) in 37 locations across the world, highly improved AntiSpam and Antiphishing Filters, increased email capacity and realtime backup features.

Thanks to our Supporters!

All of this is only possible because of your generous donations and support. If we stand together, we can have an impact and protect Europe´s last Wilderness and its Wildlife.
