Close followers of our website and our onlive events might have already noticed that we conducted three webinars in cooperation the REWILD Institute. These were the first three of an ongoing series of webinars about current wildlife research around the world.
The next webinar is going to take place today at 13.15 about ‘OWL AND BAT CONSERVATION IN SOUTHERN AFRICA‘.

Just like the European Wilderness Society, REWILD Institute – Research on Ecosystems and Wilderness – is an international NGO operating out of Austria. While our work focuses on the standardization and preservation of Wilderness across Europe, the REWILD Insititute aims focuses on research and education about Wilderness and ecosystems worldwide.
A vision of healthy ecosystems, wildlife and societies
REWILD Institute – Research on Ecosystems and Wilderness – is an international team of experienced and dedicated researchers and conservationists with the vision of healthy ecosystems, healthy wildlife and a healthy society. Their expertise spans from ecology and environmental science to hydrology and ornithology. And the team is currently spread over 10 countries on four continents spanning from Austria, Bulgaria and Ukraine to Nepal, South Africa and the US.
If you are interested in their work, there are many ways to support it. If you are interested in REWILD events, REWILD projects and the REWILD network, you can join as a member. A donation or sponsorship for a project or event is just as welcome. If you are a scientist yourself and want to get involved, just contact them. The team is always open for ideas for new research and education projects.
We team up to preserve Wilderness for future generations
We are excited to cooperate with the REWILD Institute to promote research and cooperation about Wilderness in Europe and worldwide.
We are happy to announce that we partner up with the REWILD Institute to promote synergies between research, education, stewardship and policy regarding Wilderness. To preserve Wilderness for future generations, it is essential to understand it and advocate for it from all sides. So, you can look forward to new projects and evens as well as more information on Wilderness research on our website in the future. The REWILD Institute will support us to provide you with the newest updates on results, projects and perspectives in Wilderness research.
Even though we are a rather newly founded organization, we have profound experience with Wilderness research. The European Wilderness Society is equally experienced with the certification and stewardship of Wilderrness. We look forward to combine our expertise in the future to realize many interesting projects.
