Central and Eastern Europe Wilderness workshop – Prague

30 representatives from several central and eastern European countries met in Prague at a Europarc sponsored internal workshop discussing the status quo, the challenges and future opportunities of potential Wilderness in Central and Eastern Europe. Representatives of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and Dinaric Arc countries, Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.

Vlado Vancura, Deputy Chairman, presented the European Wilderness Definition and the European Wilderness Network covering more than 20 Wilderness in 14 countries all over Europe. The European Wilderness Network now includes besides Wilderness also WILDIslands, WILDForests, WILDRivers and WILDCoasts.
