New volunteer Yaryna!
Hello! I’m thrilled to join The European Wilderness Society as a new European Solidarity Corp volunteer, eager to dive into meaningful work in conservation and sustainability. Supporting biodiversity, protecting natural landscapes, and contributing to eco-education are causes close to my heart, and I’m excited to lend my skills and passion to these efforts.
One of my main goals here is to help strengthen the collaboration between The European Wilderness Society and Synevyr National Nature Park (Synevyr NNP). I also hope to support a partnership between Synevyr NNP and European Wilderness Society, focusing on areas like biodiversity conservation, eco-education, and sustainable resource management within protected areas. I believe that bringing together expertise from both organisation can lead to innovative solutions and impactful conservation initiatives.
Personally, I’m eager to learn more about sustainable natural resource management, especially within protected areas, while also broadening my worldview and getting to know a new culture. I’m excited to develop my project management skills, improve my English and German, and make new friends along the way. Exploring the Alps will be an added adventure I can’t wait to embark on.
I’m also here to gain hands-on experience in environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and solid waste management. I look forward to understanding how ecotourism and eco-business principles are applied in municipalities with protected lands and to building my skills in eco-education to help increase environmental awareness among tourists and community residents. This opportunity means a lot to me, and I’m so excited to get started, learn from everyone, and hopefully make a meaningful contribution along the way.
